David Wilders
Born 1976 in Yorkshire
David uses various mediums to illustrate the mining industry and communities that surrounded them.
Having a passion for art and printmaking from an early age, David's work reflect his experiences and memories of working in the coalmines. When he left school at the age of 15, David tried everything to avoid working at the pit, but ended up becoming a miner at Fryston Colliery. His artworks have a strong theme of industrial landscapes, influenced by the busy working areas of Yorkshire and Northern England.
