Barrie Ormsby

Barrie Ormsby works in West Durham and is a member of the Bearpark Artists Co-operative.
As a professional artist, Barrie depicted the Miners' Strike of 1984-85. He also works with former mining communities to produce new banners for the Durham Miners’ Gala.

Barrie is my art teacher and friend. He's 78 going on 25! He's a passionate person in general and an inspiration to people from all backgrounds. He's involved in environmental issues and does his bit for underprivileged folk.
